Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information LetsBecho ("we"), operated by Mayank Johri, Delhi, India, collects when you use the LetsBecho website (https://letsbecho.com) and the LetsBecho Android and iOS apps, and how we use it. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider).
• Ads you post: title, description, price, category details, the item video and photos you upload, and the item's location.
• Location: if you allow it, your device's location is used to show ads near you and to set where your item is. We keep only the area you choose; your exact address is never shown to other users. You can search for an area instead of sharing GPS.
• Messages: chats between buyers and sellers, so they can be delivered and so we can act on reports of fraud or abuse.
• Payments: listing packages are paid through Google Play in the Android app and through Razorpay on the website. We receive the order reference and status — never your card, UPI or bank details.
• Reports and blocks you make, ratings, saved ads, and basic technical data (device and browser type, IP address, pages visited) kept in server logs for security.

2. How we use it

• To run the marketplace: show your ads, show you ads nearby, deliver chats and process packages.
• To keep users safe: automatic checks for scams, duplicate videos and adult content, and review by our moderation team.
• To provide support, enforce our Terms of Use and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party advertising based on your personal data.

3. What other users can see

Your ads (video, photos, description, price, area) and your public profile (name, member-since date, verification badges, rating and active ads) are public. Your email address and phone number are never shown. Contact happens through LetsBecho chat.

4. Service providers

• Supabase — database, login and file storage.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Google Play and Razorpay — payments for listing packages in the app and on the website.
• Photon / OpenStreetMap — turning a searched place name or your GPS position into an area name. Only the search text or coordinates are sent, never your account details.

These providers process data only to provide their service to us. Some may store data outside India under appropriate safeguards.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, ads, videos, photos, chats, saved ads and reports are deleted. Limited records may be kept where the law requires it (for example payment records for tax purposes) or to prevent fraud, and are then deleted.

6. Your rights and choices

• Edit or delete your ads at any time from My ads.
• Turn off location access in your browser or phone settings.
• Delete your account and data at any time — see Delete your account.
• Ask for a copy or correction of your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing help@letsbecho.in.

7. Children

LetsBecho is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is restricted by database security rules. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and never share it.

9. Grievance Officer

For complaints about content or your data, contact our Grievance Officer, Mayank Johri, at help@letsbecho.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be shown on the website or in the app before they take effect.
